SUMMARY:

Sell for the Best of the Best in variable speed AC drives! Lead the sales growth within a broad geographic region selling a wide of range of industrial AC drives directly to large original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and electrical system integrators. The target OEMs could include, but are not limited to, manufacturers of electrical motors to drive pumps, fans, rotating equipment, machine tooling, or automated industrial equipment. End use markets include Industrial and Municipal Water Treatment, Marine, Pulp & Paper, Alternative Energy, Building Automation, Refining, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Steel, Power, and Automotive.

The company has R&D and production facilities in the United States, Europe, and Asia, with sales offices in more than 25 countries. Our client is profitable and growing rapidly throughout North America.

This position includes a very attractive base salary, sales commissions, vehicle allowance, laptop, full medical benefits, 401-K plan, and other company benefits. NO RELOCATION will be offered - Preferred location is Southern Cal/Los Angeles, but open to other CALIFORNIA-BASED CANDIDATES too.

REQUIREMENTS for the position include:

- 4-year Engineering or Technical degree (Electrical Engineering highly preferred)
- 7-10 years experience selling AC Drives into industrial, manufacturing, or commercial environments
- Prior sales experience MUST include selling to large OEMs or system integrators, preferably large global companies
- Well-rounded technical aptitude in areas of motors, drives, and electrical/mechanical systems
- Strong relationship management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Valid drivers license with good driving record
- 50-60% travel on a regular basis

RESPONSIBILITIES for the position will include:

- Sell AC drives direct to large global OEMs and system integrators
- Plan and execute sales calls and deliver presentations to target customers
- Manage customer relationships and secure repeat business
- Ensure company products are specified into customers equipment systems
- Maintain excellent time and territory management skills
- Expand the sales territory that includes California and a multi-state Western Region
- Must be open to high levels of travel (50-60% routinely)
