Job Description
Major Industrial Distribution Company with 65+ years of experience and success is seeking to fill a Senior Director of National Accounts opening. The ideal candidate would be based in New York City or Long Island, NY. The Company distributes a complete product line of mechanical supplies, electrical components, safety equipment & supplies, specialty chemicals, capital equipment, cutting tools and miscellaneous related products for the maintenance repair operational (MRO) departments of industrial, OEM, government, construction, automotive and general manufacturing facilties.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: - Directs the National Accounts program to maximize National Accounts (NA) sales growth and goal attainment from new and existing accounts.
- Identifies, prioritizes and implements with the assistance of various functional areas opportunities in projects aimed at improving NA sales and
associate and customer satisfaction levels.
- Directs the development of solutions and processes to existing areas for improvement and looks toward the future to anticipate potential improvement
opportunities.
- Develops and fosters a team environment for National Account Team members.
- Understands and interprets national account sales goals and initiatives sold and priorities can be balanced and timelines established in a cost effective
manner.
- Directs the implementation and evaluates progress and success of the NA program.
- Leads management meetings and provides input for all projects under discussion.
- Develops training and collateral material.
- Directs successful utilization of the NA program and fosters a cooperative relationship with the field sales and telesales organizations.
- Develops a departmental budget, ensurers adherence to the budget and takes corrective action as required.
- Performs all duties inherent in the role of Company Senior Director as defined by the Company Code of Conduct including hiring, termination, review and
development of associates.
- Drives the Company Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of Companys mission.
- Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- A Bachelors Degree in Business or the equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 7 years business experience, including 5 years of sales management experience.
- PC, database, organizational and planning skills are all required.
- Knowledge of NA sales/management techniques and processes are required.
- Business analysis experience and the ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities are required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are also required.
