The Chief Engineer will design mechanical/electromechanical products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods.

Responsibilities: 
  • Supervise engineering staff. 
  • Work with staff to enhance accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; while mentoring  less experienced team members.
  • Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs.
  • Apply principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials to product design.
  • Confirm system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods; testing properties.
  • Develop mechanical and electromechanical products reviewing customer requirements.
  • Design, test and integrate new equipment into company's existing equipment offering.
  • Upgrade and automate current equipment and designs.
  • Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
  • Support the development of chemical manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Assure system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
  • Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Work closely with  sales and marketing staff and service representatives to evaluate customer improvement requests.

 Required Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in the design of innovative products, systems or machinery
Preferred Experience:
  • Chief or Principal Engineer experience
  • Experience with the design of machinery, equipment, material handling or fluid process equipment
  • Proficiency with robotics and HMI
  • SolidWorks experience
  • PLC programming experience a plus
Position will require some travel, both domestic and global
