Our client is a leader in the maintenance and repair operations (MRO) industry. They have an immediate opportunity as a RSM in Central and Southern New Jersey. The ideal candidate will live the the Southern region of New Jersey.
Manage profitable sales growth of the region through achievement of an agreed upon annual plan; the principal elements of which are sales, attraction, and development of District Managers, Sales Managers in Training (SMITs), and Sales Representatives.
Report to the Assigned Division Manager or Director of Sales
This position requires the execution of an Employment Agreement contract between our client and the employee as well as the execution of the offer of employment letter. Experience working with commissioned Sales Representatives in a competitive industry. Responsibilities to have included recruiting, training, planning and establishing Sales Representatives and Sales Managers. This position will require the ability to perform several tasks simultaneously and possess excellent prioritization and organization skills including but not limited to effectively calendaring priorities. This position requires adherence to all Company policies and procedures as stated in the Sales Policy Manual and Manager’s Policy Manual.
JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Responsible for the successful development of four to eight (4-8) districts, District Managers, Sales Supervisors, Division Trainers, Sales Managers in Training, and/or Sales Representatives within the region, plus development of business for open territories. 2. Responsible for conducting minimum quarterly progress reviews with immediate supervisor. Adherence to these standards will be reviewed by the Company and monitored by the Sales Development Department.
3. Recruit new Sales Representatives and Sales Managers in Training. Maintain a “pool” of potential hires. Spend a minimum of four (4) days per month on recruiting activity, with an emphasis on street recruiting. The Regional Sales Manager must also demonstrate the ability to use and to train others on the Focused Approach to Sales. Provide initial and ongoing training to District Managers, Sales Managers in Training, and Sales Representatives adhering conscientiously to development programs including district development planning, demonstrations, Score Card, Building Blocks, Re-Visit Reports, and calendaring/capacity planning. Adherence to these training standards will be reviewed by the Company and monitored by the Sales Development Department. 5. Frequently and effectively communicate and manage subordinate managers and/or representatives so as to assure achievement of their respective annual plans, offer assistance, and motivate. Regularly plan with subordinate managers and/or representatives on a quarterly basis to assure continued effectiveness and growth. Take appropriate action to assure achievement of assigned sales and headcount objectives. 6. Maintain regional accounts receivable balances within Company standards.

Compensation commensurate with experience. 150K OTE with base salary of 110K to 115K.
