Job Description
Our client manufactures aesthetic electro-mechanical, consumer products. Their Engineering Manager took a different position and need a new leader. This is very much of a hands on managerial role. You will be both leading and doing engineering work. The location is a nice bedroom community within commuting distance of Milwaukee.

Requirements:
1. Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field and at least 5 years with heated electro-mechanical products.
2. You must have had solid prior management / supervision experience
3. This is a fast changing industry and a successful manager must be capable of constantly juggling department resources in order to meet goals that are often in flux.
4. You will need to know Pro-E (they use Wildfire) and be able to delegate work your staff of 7.
5. Experience with UL and testing is highly desired.

Duties:
1. Manage the day to day workings of this 7 person Engineering Department while also being a contributing member of the engineering staff.
2. Your group will design and develop electro-mechanical consumer products that are heated using Pro-E Wildfire; for example pizza ovens and buffet warmers.
3. Prepare cost estimates for customers and lead new product development and implementation projects.
4. Because of constantly changing demands of customers you will be juggling many priorities while at the same time making judicial use of resources. The goal is to maintain both profits and customer satisfaction.
5. You will work closely with other departs in order to provide outstanding products to customers and improve profitability. To accomplish this you need to utilize effective verbal and written communication skills.
6. Develop and maintain the engineering budget and make recommendations for capital equipment expenditures
7. Travel is estimated at 20% to visit customers
