Job Description
Field Service Technician needed for company that manufactures equipment for the pharmaceutical industry. local Candidates preferred but will look at qualified candidates from other areas in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. This individual will go onsite to customers to provide service, repair, preventive maintenance, calibration, testing, and installation of equipment manufactured by the company.
Duties will include
1. Promote customer satisfaction by properly addressing and repairing equipment.
2. Inform customers of and promote Company products and services.
3. Service, Preventive Maintenance, Repair, Test, Calibrate, Install and Startup of complex equipment with minimum supervision from Manager and Higher Rated technicians/engineers.
4. Interface with subcontractors as required.
5. Provide timely and accurate paperwork to include, but not limited to, service reports, expense reports, routine correspondence and various other reports.
Qualifications include:
Technical Skills including but not inclusive of:
REFRIGERATION (EDP UNIVERSAL CARD)
Basic understanding of PLC Controls including ladder logic
Familiarity and use of test equipment
Familiarity and use of tools
Plumbing, including piping and soldering
Electrical/Electronics
Understanding of technical instructions, schematics, blueprints and specifications
Mechanical Skills
Computer Skills
EDUCATION
Degree or Certificate from approved two-year college or technical school in related field, five years related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
The qualified candidate must have:
The ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group situation to customers, clients and other employees of the organization
The ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos and operating manuals.
The ability to read and understand maintenance and procedure manuals. Effective writing skills to produce reports, correspondence, etc.
Travel is about 60% and will include overseas travel : Europe, India, Mexico
